Overview

Schlage Classic Obverse keyway family provides basic physical security with no restrictions on key duplication. Obverse family includes the Schlage C keyway, one of the most commonly used, open keyways in North America. Open keyways are best applied as a cost-effective solution on interior doors, but only where asset protection needs and break-in risks are low. Keys can be easily duplicated at most retail key cutting services without restriction making open keyways more suitable for residential or light commercial use.

The Classic Obverse keyway family is upgradeable to Primus levels of patented, restricted key control and physical security. Using Primus RP cylinders, which carry patent protection to 2029, even facilities where key control is lost can regain administrative control on critical points of entry by upgrading perimeter and other high security areas to Primus RP cylinders.
