Electronic Access Control Solutions

For real-time control and visibility of door status, an Electronic Access Control system can be deployed with software from one of our PACS software alliances. Primary and secondary entrances should be monitored and locked. Use MTB card readers with Schlage MIFARE® DESFire® EV credentials on perimeter and suite entry doors.

To extend EAC deeper into the building, upgrade interior doors to LE or NDE wireless locks. Already have HID® iCLASS® or Seos® credentials in place? Choose a model with HID credential support including NDEBSi, LEBSi or AD400 with SiK reader.

Credential Solutions & Services

Electronic access control solutions center around the credential technology. To reduce risk of duplication, look for credentials with enhanced encryption like Schlage MIFARE® DESFire® EV cards and fobs. Choose Custom Artwork to personalize id cards with your logo and colors. For businesses with mixed hardware, talk to one of our electronic experts about Custom Encryption Keys which enables smart credentials to work across devices from multiple manufacturers.

Mobile Solutions

Employees enjoy the convenience of using a smart phone for just about everything. Schlage Mobile Bluetooth® Credentials are eco-friendy and are easy to issue and revoke in a contactless manner. Mobile credentials configured for visitor use can also enable additional services like package delivery.

Schlage has a full portfolio of hardware compatible with mobile credentials including Schlage NDE and LE wireless locks, as well as MTB readers.

Perimeter Entrances

Controlling access is a critical part of a building's efforts to provide a safe environment for employees and visitors. It begins with a secure perimeter—from the main entrance to all secondary entrances and tertiary openings. The perimeter is the first check point, or layer, to the building. It controls who enters the building and when.

Primary entrances should be monitored and can inlcude MT Series card readers, MIFARE® DESFire® EV credentials, as well as software from one of our industry leading Physical Access Control System (PACS) providers. Secondary entrances can also be monitored by upgrading to AD-400 wireless exit trim.

Equally important is the supporting key system, particularly on perimeter entrances. Barriers to key duplication and proper key control along with upgraded physical security in the cylinders is essential. Here, the use of Primus Security Upgrade is recommended.

Key Systems

In the commercial space, even if the lock on the door is electronic, a key system likely supports it. The choice of key system and the level of security it provides is just as important as the credential that allows entrance. Regardless how few individuals are given keys, the key system could become the weak link in your security if not chosen well. Patent protected key designs like Everest 29™ are essential to ensuring access to key blanks is controlled administratively. Restricted keyways are yet another level up administratively with even tighter control of key blanks coming from the OEM. Beyond that, the cylinder itself should have increased physical security with added mechanisms and barriers to prevent bypass. Primus Security upgrade provides the best of both administrative and physical security.
