Aesthetics

  • 33 lever styles constructed of solid brass or solid stainless steel offer a strong-yet-comfortable feel
  • Additional style options include two knobs, five roses, and two escutcheons
  • 12 available finishes (depending on lever style) with options for antimicrobial coating
  • Locking lever bushing eliminates exposed screws on inside levers
  • All levers suite with Von Duprin exit devices, along with related products: L Series Grade 1 mortise lock, multipoint locks, and LT Series tubular locks
  • Low holding current produces minimal heat, eliminating “hot levers” in electrically locking applications
  • Quiet, motorized activation

Functions

  • Nine keyed and non-keyed electrified functions
  • Two electrified functions offer optional key override of the inside thumbturn when it is being held in the locked position to stop unwanted barricade situations
  • 42 additional L Series Grade 1 mortise lock non-electrified functions (see separate web page for details)

Installation simplicity

  • Auto detects 12 or 24V DC
  • Low maximum current draw allows multiple locks on a single power supply
  • Case-mounted switch allows field selectable fail safe/fail secure setting
  • Modular design allows RX feature to be added at a later time without opening the lock case
  • Field reversible latch bolt allows handing change without opening case

Built to Last

  • Two piece anti-friction tongue in latch bolt reduces wear
  • Breakaway spindle keeps door secured in the event of vandalism
  • Every Schlage lock undergoes intensive testing to determine its ANSI grade level including: cycle, resistance, door impact, warped door and bolt strength tests

All electrified functions listed beginning with L/LV can be ordered with or without Vandlgard option. All functions are field selectable Electrically Locked (EL) or Electrically Unlocked (EU). Optional key override is a safety feature, available on two functions, that allows the outside key to retract the deadbolt and/or latchbolt, depending on function, to override the inside thumbturn when it is being held in the locked position.
